The Pink Tower Is Making A Come Back

The Pink Tower was getting a bit lonely again. Fortunately some children noticed it was in a different place and had to work with it to rebuild it, to put it back in the spot they believed it belonged.:) While they kept putting the Pink Tower back together over and over ( yes I kept moving it back to its' newest spot), they realized they really enjoyed working with this material!!

The three children shown above form their own group at the beginning of the work period. One child gets the mat, one child gets the Pink Tower Cubes, and the other child begins the presentation.

  1. i have the opposite in my class, everyone loves the pink tower :) Parents always ask "does my child do anything except the pink tower?" :)

  2. I used to find that the pink tower would be forgotten, too, unless I introduced new extensions. That's why I posted links to so many sensorial size extensions last week: http://livingmontessorinow.com/2011/09/05/montessori-monday-sensorial-size-extensions/! It's great that there are so many extensions available online now. At least it's much easier to renew kids' interest. And often they can just be shown photos for ideas.

It's cute that the children became interested in the pink tower to put it back where they thought it belonged!
