Confessions and Suggestions
It is Monday and normally I have a post to share to link to Montessori Monday at Living Montessori Now. Not today because I did not take a single picture of the children working last week. I have not put out any new work. The children still Have been working hard! It is time for me to focus much more on what the purpose of this blog is about. I admit I have given more attention to my homeschool blog, which has made it more difficult for me to blog here everyday as well. The goal of this blog is to share my observations of children while working with them. Along the way I have added in elements such as what types of works I have on the shelf, etc. I want to share, and I want to connect with those who share the same interest. I have found myself blogging at times just to blog. I don't want to do this, and I think I owe you all more. I was hoping to get some suggestions from you all about what you like to see more of here. Would you like the post to be about a certain activity? Do you like the Montessori Monday post when I have the work that was captured on camera for the week? I would love if you left a comment about any suggestions you have!
I really like your blog and I will miss it if you leave it!
ReplyDeleteI like to see kids in action and like when you show a particular kind of material (theme related, that you have made).
I know that blogging might be weird sometimes or time consuming... I'm on and off my own blog too!
Carine, I enjoy writing here I still love sharing and connecting, I am not at all thinking about leaving it. I am so happy you took the time to share with me. I think my favorite post fall into the categories you like too. Thanks again!
DeleteI'm new to Montessori. I just put together a few shelf activities, but we are still collecting materials. I'm a stay at home mom and don't have a huge budget. I like looking at pics, but also like to hear about where the materials came from. I certainly have not collected enough materials to put up new activities every week. But I will eventually get there. I think it is good to blog just for the sake of blogging. You never know when someone like me might stumble upon your site and learn something and be able to use it. Three activities on my shelf were ideas I got from other blogs. For myself, I'm blogging because it will be nice to look back in a year and see how much progress we have made. Plus family and friends may like to take a peek and look at some of the pics and stories. I'm new to blogging, I enjoy it, and I think m daughter will enjoy looking at it when she is older. So if people like me are coming to your blog and getting something out of it, then I say great. Blogging for the sake of blogging? There is nothing wrong with that either.
ReplyDeleteMamita, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I can see where your coming from. I do enjoy blogging and I have made some bloggy friends:) Thank you again.
DeleteI'm pretty new to the Montessori Monday link up, but I will say that your posts are normally one of my favourites from all those that link up! So I have to say that I do really enjoy when you post, but I don't think it has to include pictures or be anything elaborate. I can barely keep one blog going, so I don't know how you handle two!
ReplyDeleteRandalin, you really made me think! I sometimes tend to always think that I must have photos. I am so thrilled that you enjoy the Montessori Monday link up. I love wrapping up what we did for the week. Thank you for making me realize that it can be simple, and shared.
DeleteI read both blogs and enjoy them both. I like reading all of the different types of posts. Blog in one place, both places, about whatever makes you happy and I will read!
ReplyDeleteThnak you it really made me happy to read this!
DeleteI enjoy your posts and insights! Sometimes I feel like my posts might be "just to blog," but even those posts can reveal important information over time. Just do what feels right to you! I love this blog just the way it is! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sasha for stopping by and leaving a comment. It does make me happy to hear that you enjoy this blog. I heart yours and learn so much valued information.
DeleteI LOVE both your blogs! Your Montessori Monday posts are great where you show what's on your shelves or what the kids are doing. You could always just show one activity or a few activities related to a theme for a post. That would be wonderful, too! I'll enjoy reading whatever you post! :) Deb @ LivingMontessoriNow.com
ReplyDeleteIt is always a pleasure to hear from you, I respect your experience in Montessori and as a homeschool mom. Thank you for all your encouraging words.
