In Zoology this month I will be introducing the concepts of invetebrates/verterbrates. I have in a round about way already introduced this concept to the children when we talked about insects last May. We will be reviewing some insects, mainly insects that help our gardens grow and crawly creatures. Our focus invertebrate will be the Spider. Will will also be learning about the Human Body allowing us to clearly see the difference of inverbrates/ vertebrates. So to get a feel of the kids interest in spiders we did spider weaving. Take a look at their concentration.
The materials.
Spider Weaving.
We added some fun to our spider weaving by learning the nursery rhyme Little Miss Muffet.
We then role played.
Little Miss Muffet Sat on a tuffet eating her curd and whey.
Along came a spider and sat down beside her .
And frightened Miss Muffet away.
I am linking this to A Mommy's Adventures where you can see children doing art projects that go along with a story.
