Learning Shoes on Little Feet
Guiding with the montessori method I am always on the look out for materials that will foster even the littlest ones to become more independent. I saw these shoes in our museum gift shop and I just couldn't help but do a dance. Really I did. I walked around with them and because I can be a bit impulsive at times. I ran out the store so that I could really think about this purchase. Needless to say as soon as the children's museum opened the following day I was there to make this purchase.
Now I had to wait an entire day to put them on the shelf.
When my toddler crew finally arrived I was smiling so hard they started to look at me like "is she alright".
Then after circle time the fun began and these toddlers were busy. Busy walking, busy working with buttoning, busy with taking shoes on and off, busy with buckling, working with velcro. Take a look.
So are you still reading? When DJ said he wanted a pair, I knew that if I could make it happen every little person in the world would have this learning shoe. DJ says "These shoes sure are fancy". They happened to fit him too.
Here are pictures of the shoes from different angles.
