Montessori Monday

Lots of  fun learning going on. I have to admit that I am having trouble keeping up with some material making for the children. Our penguin unit didn't go as well as I had planned. They said they wanted to learn about penguins but I couldn't get my creative juices going quick enough and they have lost interest. This group of children enjoy learning about animals, lanuguage and all things practical life.  Believe it or not they are still very much into learning about insects. The word butterfly, ladybug come ups at least once a day. They have been really repetitive with the works they are choosing. I guess some units work out and some don't. Our work period here is a wonderful thing. For all the children right now they love cleaning up our enviroment at the end of the day. We turn on the music and it is a incredible sight to see them all busy scrubbing tables, sweeping the floors, etc. I find this to be a great music with movement activity. LOL
